Jonas pictures are so beautiful, I would decorate my whole apartment with his pictures, if I could. They are touching and every single one of his pictures is unique and creative in a very own and special way. I feel very connected to his artwork, so I wanted to share this beauty with you.
If you like his work as much as I do you can visit him here on dA
I carry these images in my heart and in my mind. Each one of them is dear to me and I see something special and unique in them. I feel the urge of sharing these pictures with you.
Somehow, I am a bit sentimental today... Well, if I want to be honest I feel this way for a week now
I am enjoing dA so much the last few months and I feel like the few pictures I made are a lot closer to what I always wanted them to be than before. If I look at them I feel really connected to them, as if they truly are a part of me. And I am just so happy about the postitive feedback.
I guess I always was a bit afraid of making pictures like this. They are a bit darker and melancholic, they just go a bit deeper. I'm not taking pictures to please anyone anymore. I do it for myself and for people , who can connect to them.
Oscar Wild once wrote: "All art is at once surface and symbol. Those who go beneath the surface do so at their peril. Those who read the symbol do so at their peril. It is the spectator, and not life, that art really mirrors."
For me, my last photos are very different from what I did last year. I see them in a differen way. If they just reach one single person, I can be happy with myself.
I am on a journey with my pictures...and for the very first time it's as if I am able to see land...far away, as a tiny dot at the end of the horizon. I am very thankful for everyone who is on that journey with me. For everyone who is supporting me.
In that sentimental state of mind, I just want to show you, how much I appreciate this all.
Congratulations! You are one of the 51 photographers that the jury has selected, and we are so excited to tell you that you will be published in Tiger's photobook along with the overall winner Emily Bhantoo from England.
